About. Our research found that windows are the weakest security part of a classroom door, this is when we began to think of ways to allow teachers to still use their windows for the intended purpose and at the same time make it more difficult for an intruder to enter and/or use that space to reach a weapon inside the classroom to use.
Our solution is ReadiShield. It can be customized to fit any size window, it can be painted in school colors and school specific related designs, and it can be manufactured in 4 different thicknesses of galvanized steel; 14 gauge (5/64"), 11 gauge (1/8"), 7 gauge (3/16"), or 3 gauge (1/4"). |
Chris McNamee
Chris is a High School Educator for 27 years, 23 of those years as a Teacher; and the last 4 years has served as the Pikeville Independent school district as the safe school’s coordinator.
He is a Parent with 3 children who attended Pikeville High School (currently his youngest is a Sophomore) and his wife is a Teacher at PHS also. In addition to being a teacher, he has been a high school Football Coach for 27 years. As the Safe School's Coordinator, but more importantly as a Parent, school safety is very important to me and that is why I believe ReadiShield can protect and save lives in an active shooter scenario. |
